A recent example of how purchasing new equipment led to critical breakthrough

We had been approached by a client to give advice on a problem they were having with a highly intricate product. The material needed to be turned down to 1.6mm diameter with a 0.1mm hole through it and particularly when it comes to holding the part whilst drilling the hole centrally. As you can imagine, inspection can be even more formidable.

Chris, our Technical Director and the Quality Inspector, visited the client to discuss the complexity of measuring the complicated angles inside the component. Chris told the client that we would have no problem producing the part, but we would have to review our inspection equipment to eliminate any doubts we might have of the parts passing our quality inspection and within the next few days we had purchased the new equipment.

We then received our first order and this company is now one of our oldest customers, they were so impressed with our dedication to service and helpfulness that we now produce a wider range of parts in various micron tolerances for them.
